Leroy Mahoney, age 99, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. He was born on June 10, 1917 in Mansfield, Louisiana to the late Mr. Douglas Mahoney and Mrs. Carrie (Williams) Mahoney.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary Mahoney, mother of his children, and second wife, Katie Lee Mahoney.
He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters: Ms. Betty Edwards, Houston, TX, Ms. Joann Hall, Shreveport, LA, and Ms. Linda Canada, Shreveport, LA; five sons: Eddie (Shelly) Mahoney, Statenville, GA, Roy (Audrey) Mahoney, Shreveport, LA, Joseph (Elsie) Mahoney, Dayton, OH, Roosevelt (Volume) Mahoney, Dayton, OH, Reverend Jimmy Ray (late Martha) Mahoney, Shreveport, LA; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and special friends Lewis and Cynthia Tompkins, Laura Cannon, Charme Ward, Lori and Shannon.

Family will receive friends from 10am to 11am on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Boulevard. Funeral Service will begin at 11am. Burial to follow at West Memory Garden.
