Leroy Hartman

Leroy Hartman, age 71, of Dayton, passed away August 12, 2022. He was born November 1, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Walter and Edith Hartman. In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his brothers: Ray Hartman and Ted Hartman.

Leroy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pam Hartman; children: Jenne Goins (Jimmy), Angie Hartman and Jim Hartman (Miranda); 8 grandchildren: Drew, Aaron, Trevor, Emma, Brooke, Bentley, Micah and Breanna; 4 great-grandchildren: Andrew Jr., Aubree, Callie and Aaron; sister, Debbie Pence; brother, Terry Hartman (Trish); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Leroy loved playing music with his brothers, tinkering in his garage, playing his numbers and drinking Budweiser. He enjoyed going to Frisch's and getting peanut butter shakes from Fat Rats with his wife. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3-6 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at the American Legion (upstairs), 7015 North Dixie Drive, Dayton. A private graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made in Leroy's memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
