Leora "Fotta" Allen
Age 85 , a former 50 year resident of Lima, Ohio and an 18 year resident of Dayton, passed away Friday, February 15, 2008, at Hospice of Dayton.
Leora was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, John J. Fotta, in 1990; and by her parents, John Morgan & Sally Shephard; three sisters, Pearlie Hale, Polly Dixon & Elsie Moyer; and by one grandson, Jay Klofta.
She is survived by her children, Corrina Wright, Gaybrell (Terry) Holmes, Darlene Mathewson, Teresa (Bob) Smith, Millie (Rick) Davis, David (Jane) Fotta, Sharon Polasky and George (Lydianne) Szima; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many "adopted" special children, grandchildren and good friends.
Leora retired from R.C.A. in Findlay, Ohio, with 20 years of service. She was a member of the North Dayton Anglers & Conservation Club.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, with burial to follow at the Dayton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Leora to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
