LINDERMAN, Leona, age 91, died peacefully with family at her side Tuesday afternoon, July 31, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Chowan County, NC, the daughter of Warren and Annie Bennett Cayton. Leona moved to Dayton in 1950, and was retired from Rike's Department Store. Since the death of her husband, William Hamilton Linderman, she had made her home with her sister, Carlyle Johnson, of Coach Dr. Kettering. Leona enjoyed good health until suffering a heart attack on Sunday. Survivors include her step-daughters, Debra Parker of Franklin, Joan (Jerry) Cark of MI, Jean (Jim) Campbell of Englewood, Linda Diers of St. Marys, OH; four sisters, Carlyle Johnson of Kettering, Louise Page, Zelda Register, Jessie Saieed, all of Greenville, NC; two special nephews, Alan Johnson and Bruce Johnson, both of Centerville; and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Leona enjoyed and was an active participant in the activities of Union Pentecostal Church, She also was fond of growing flowers and caring for her many cats through the years. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Friday August 3, 2007 at Union Pentecostal Church, 1101 N. Union Rd., Trotwood, OH. 45427, with Brother Cecil Rose officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 AM to time of service at the church. Interment to follow service at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Union Pentecostal Church.
