Leona Charles

CHARLES, Leona, age 88, of Dayton, passed away Monday, April 14, 2008. She was born January 30, 1920 in Fleming County, KY. She was a member of Hillside Chapel. Leona is survived by four sons, William N. (Phyllis) Charles, Lloyd (Mary) Charles, Jr., Donald (Carmen) Charles, and Chester (Cathy) Charles; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, William Little, Jr.; several nieces and nephews; close friends, Kathryn, Peggy, Kako, and all her many friends at Hillside Chapel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Charles; parents, William and May (Edington) Little; 4 sisters, Nell, Stella, Della, and Violet; 4 brothers, Walter, Chester, David, and Johnny. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be Friday, April 18, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Charles Moore officiating. Interment will follow the services at Locust Grove Cemetery in Peebles, OH.
