Leola Paige

Leola Paige, age 89 of Dayton, passed away September 14, 2014. She was born June 18, 1925 in Newnan, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Paige; sister, Estoria Burton; brother, Charlie Noble; and nephew, Eddie Burton.

Leola is survived by her son, Larry (Stephanie) Shepherd; grandchildren: Amy Hoskins and Ashley Hoskins; 5 great grandchildren: Keveonna, Keeara, Daniel, De'Mari and Dylan; nieces and nephews: Rufus (Mary) Moreland, Horace (Lilly) Moreland, Wilson Burton, Barbara (Lee) Bowman, Stephanie Burton and Monica Burton; great nieces and great nephews: Felicia McGuire, Reginald (Balinda) Moreland, Gregory Moreland and Venita Bowman.

Leola was a Cook at the Montgomery County Jail and retired from there in 1992. She attended Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as an usher.

A Home Going Celebration will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 3300 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 am. Burial to follow at West Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road.
