Graham, Leo Gene, age 84, of Kettering, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the Trinity Community of Beavercreek. Gene was a lifelong resident of Beavertown and Kettering. He was born February 14, 1924 to the late Wilson & Lydia (Douglas) Graham. Gene was a graduate of Fairmont High School Class of 1942, a member of Church of the Cross in Kettering, and a longtime Scoutmaster. He was a United States Naval Air Corps Veteran proudly serving during WWII, and he retired from NCR with over 37 years of service. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Gene is survived by his wife of 63 years, Isabelle (Watson) Graham; daughters and sons-in-law: Sandy (Jim) Trittschuh, Lori Graham, Jeanie (Mike) Purtee; sons and daughters-in-law: Doug (Ann) Graham, Ken (Linda) Graham; grandchildren: Kathy, David, Jennifer, Stephanie, Kristin, Kayleen, Jessi, Eric, Shelby, Jeff; great grandchildren: Kelsey & Ryan; brothers and sisters-in-law: Gordon (Marylou) Graham, Ned Graham, Jim (Diane) Graham; and numerous other family members and friends. along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: George Graham and sister: Mary Meadows.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 3, 2008 at the Church of the Cross United Methodist Church, 3121 Wilmington Pike with Pastor John Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow the service at Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Centerville. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church of the Cross in memory of Gene. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel).
