Leo Byrd, Sunrise 11/13/22 Sunset 6/28/10. Leo was a World War II veteran who retired after 30 years from Frigidaire and then worked part time at Elder Beerman's for 10 years. He was proceeded in death by parents Dora & Hall Frank Byrd; son, Kenneth Byrd; 3 sisters; and 3 brothers. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Frances Byrd; daughters, Barbara Harrison, Gwen Draper, Pat Dunham; son, Michael Byrd. He is also survived by several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; daughter-in-law, Betsy Byrd; and other family and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 9:30-10:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). The service will follow at 10:30 am. Burial will take place at The Dayton National Cemetery.
