Lenvel Saylor, age 78 of Dayton, passed away on June 15, 2019. Lenvel was born in Oil Springs, KY to the late Corbit "Dock" and Gracie Saylor. He graduated from high school in 1959. After his schooling he went on to enlist in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He proudly and honorably served until his discharge in 1965.
Lenvel was a dedicated Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan. He enjoyed his morning breakfasts at the Huber Heights McDonald's with his group of buddies each morning. Lenvel enjoyed reading his Bible in his free time and spending time with his family. He was a loving, caring, and kind man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Lenvel was preceded in death by his parents, Corbit "Dock" and Gracie Saylor; and two infant brothers.
He is survived by his sister, Lillian Arnett; niece, Rhonda (Daniel) Smith; nephew, Jerry (Maia) Arnett; great-nieces and nephews, Brittany, Kyle, Zachary, and Sarah; closest friend for 30 years, Karen Hubler; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A graveside military service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 11am at Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements by Newcomer North Chapel.
