Lena M. Layman, age 89 of Dayton, OH passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on October 29, 1930 in Hillsboro, Ohio to Edna Rhoads.
Lena came to Dayton in the late 1970's and started the auction house in the Forest Park Plaza. In the early 1980's, she started the West Third Auction House in Drexel. After retiring she took up a lot of hobbies such as woodworking, fishing and gardening. Lena was a great mentor and teacher, especially when it came to woodworking. She loved her cats and would take in any stray that she could adopt. Lena had a relentless pace about herself and was hard to keep up with. She became a huge part of the Wenger and Arnold family and will be greatly missed by all members of these families.
