Lela Cantrell, age 78 of Dayton, OH passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, May 31, 2019. She was born on August 16, 1940 in Stearns, Kentucky; daughter to the late Hulen and Ida Clark.
She is preceded in death by her husband M. C. Cantrell; brothers Delbert, Randell, and Raymond Clark; sisters Beula, Flora, and Flonnie Slaven; son Stephen Cantrell; and grandson Joshuah Cantrell.
Lela is survived by her oldest son Christopher Cantrell (wife Sonia), son Matthew Cantrell, and daughter Willarda Colton. Her grandson Christopher Cantrell Jr and his daughter Lily Cantrell; grandson Gabriel Cantrell; granddaughter Hannah Myers, her husband Matt, and their children Devon, Logan, and Sebastian; granddaughter Ashley Rentz, her fiancé Edward Lynch, and their children Maddy, Christian, Danica, Demi, Lucas, and Rayna; grandson Daniel Baker Jr; granddaughter Morgan Baker; and grandson Owen Colton. Her brother Albert (Dean) Clark; brother Gilbert (wife Glenna) Clark; brother Dillard (wife Carol) Clark; special niece Virginia (husband Johnny) Thacker; special friend, Roger Leeth III; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Hospice of Miami Valley for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 12:30 - 1:30 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424). Funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow in Willow View Cemetery.
