Leila Jean Hey, age 47 of Miamisburg, passed away February 26, 2015. She was born July 31, 1967 in Dayton to the late Waldo "Mac" and Shirley McKinley. In addition to her parents, Leila was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Clifford Powell.
Leila is survived by her husband, John Hey; son, Steven Powell; twin daughters: Samantha and Shirley Powell; sisters: Shirley "Sugie" McKinley and Betty McKinley; brothers: Louis McKinley, David McKinley and Jim McKinley; and many other relatives and friends. She is also survived by her beloved Boston Terrier's: Sunshine, Sabrina, Sebastian and Sullivan.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 5-6 pm.
