Lee R. Richmond, age 82 of Riverside, OH, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at his home in Riverside, Ohio. He was born December 4, 1934 in Duff, Tennessee, the son of the late Sims and Bessie (Robinson) Richmond. He married Cora Robinson on March 2, 1957.
Since an early age he enjoyed hunting in Tennessee with his brothers and friends. As a father he taught his son Tim to hunt and fish. Lee also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his two grandsons Ian and Nick. He was a big NASCAR fan and avid watcher of the television series Survivor. A longtime member of the Greene County Fish and Game Club, he always loved the outdoors.
After more than three decades of working at Chrysler Airtemp, he retired to take care of his family. He was a great inspiration to his family by taking life's challenges head-on and by always putting his family first. This was personified by his "Git-r-done" attitude and "tree-pusher" mentality. More than anything, Lee loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Lee is survived by his wife Cora; two children, daughter Belinda (Bill Oliver) and son Tim (Sandra); grandsons Ian and Nick; sisters Ruth Sales, Jean Sheaks (Gerald), and Eva; brother Carl (Eileen); double-first-cousin Evelyn Mumpher, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Herman and Walter (Aslee); sister Sybil Knabe (Russell).
A visitation will be held July 31, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 am, at Newcomer Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432.
