Lee Reed

Lee John Reed, age 90 of Miamisburg, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 11, 2025. He was born January 22, 1935, in Thorn Hill, Tennessee and was the son of the late Henderson and Nancy Reed. He went by the name of Sonny to much of his family and friends in Tennessee and was proud to be a self-proclaimed ‘old man from the mountains’. He was also a proud veteran that served his country in the United States Navy. After his military service, Lee had a long career in manufacturing industrial parts working for NCR, Duriron and Flowserve. He was a man of simple pleasures and enjoyed splitting firewood, listening to country music, and tinkering in his garage. Lee was a family man through and through, and he will be dearly missed.

Lee is survived by his Grandchildren, Laura (Matt) Grable, Luke Williams, Lee (Andrea) Williams, and Christopher Williams; Great-Grandchildren, Evy, Scarlett, Lincoln, and Matthias; Sisters, Elsie Lewis and Sue Barnard; and by numerous other family and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his Wife of 60 years, Kay Reed; Children, John Reed, and Debbie Westray; Siblings, Mary Nellie, Ruth, Rose, Vadis, June, Henderson Jr., and Fred; his Beloved Golden Retriever, Bo; and his Parents.

Memorial Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Centerville (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459).
