Lee Marvin Wigginton, Sr.
Age 79, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at The Hospice of Dayton.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee & Eliza Ann (Chandler) Wigginton; two sisters, Pearl Stockdale & Bertha Black; four brothers, Roy, Kenneth, Paul & John Wigginton; and by one granddaughter, Eliza Slorp.
Marvin is survived by his wife of the past 55 years, Ann P. (Raines) Wigginton; three daughters, Nancy (Boyd) Ritchie, Marvina Pinney & Janet (Micah) Slorp; one son, Lee "Pete" Wigginton, Jr.; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; one twin brother, Reid (Betty) Wigginton; two sisters-in-law, Edith Wigginton & Gladys Wigginton; several nieces & nephews; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Marvin was a member of Brantwood Baptist Church. During his church life he served as a Deacon for 46 years and a Sunday school teacher for 47 years.
During the Korean Conflict Marvin served in the U. S. Air Force. He went on to work as a mechanic for United Trucking, then Commercial Lovelace and then retired from Burger Iron as a truck driver.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday (12/16) at Brantwood Baptist Church, 2400 Albrecht Street, Riverside, Ohio with Pastor Thomas Bowman officiating. Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown, Ohio.
The family will be receiving friends at the church from 12 Noon until time of service.
The family would like to thank Doctors Joseph Lavelle, Mark Walsh & all the doctors & staff of The Hospice of Dayton for the loving care they provided to Marvin.
