LD Nash, age 52, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born January 6, 1963 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Gus Nash and Lera White.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Mae Nash.
LD is survived by his two sisters, Annie Mae Nash and Jennifer Nash; brother, Gus V. Nash; one aunt and uncle; several nieces, nephews and cousins;special niece Cassandra "Renee" Champ whom helped care for him throughout the critical ordeal; closest friend, Doug Gravley and friends and co-workers Jim Haines and Arlene Blount.
He served for a short time in the United States Army. He earned two Associates Degrees from Sinclair Community College one in Business Administration and the other in Web Development, earned his Bachelor of Science and Information Technology from University of Cincinnati, and completed 24 graduate credit hours from DePaul University. LD worked as a Procurement Specialist for an Engineering Service contractor that included C.C.D.I., Taitech, Phacil and Baistar.
LD loved his family unconditionally, the outdoors especially the ocean, traveling and enjoyed taking pictures of his travels. His favorite entertainment was the movies and going to concerts, he also loved listening to music, but his favorite two artists were Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.
A memorial gathering will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424.
