Layonmia "Jerry" Norrod

Layonmia "Jerry" G. Norrod, age 87 of Dayton, Ohio passed away on April 10,2024. She was born August 25, 1936 in Pineville, West Virginia daughter of the late William and Elsie (Spence) Stewart.

Jerry was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed yard work, puzzles, walking, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew.

In addition to her parents, Jerry was preceded in death by her late husband of 30 years, James Norrod; granddaughter, Jerrica (Conn) Kosher and Kayla Pauley; great granddaughter, Jordan Eifert; and 8 siblings.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Conn, Pam (Dan) Barhorst, Robin (Marty) Fox, Wayne Fugate, Keith (Cindy) McKinney; special niece, Terri Brown grandchildren, Brieen (Jerry), Larry (Meredith), Jake (Morgan), Lynnsi, and Shawn (Destiny); great grandchildren, Gannon, Gavin, Emerson, Pheobe, Mary Jane, and Brilynn; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as several other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
