Lawton Carmichael

CARMICHAEL, Lawton E. "Bud" age 75 passed away June 29, 2011 at his home with his family by his side.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother and sister; sons, Nick and Tony Carmichael.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce, whom he treasured dearly; he is the beloved father of four children, daughter, Teri Jo; sons and daughter-in-laws, Chris and Mel, Todd and Lori, and Stacy and Shelley; grandchildren, Jason and Jed Tidwell, Seana Carmichael-Raiff, Danielle Vitale, Chelsea, Carmela, Toni, and Lawton Carmichael, Maria Bolduc, Brian Carmichael, Nick and Brandi Carmichael, Kiley and Chase Carmichael; great-grandchildren, Haley, JayJay, Kelsey, Grayson, Taylor, Ayla, Walter, Annie, McKenzie, Gracie, Anthony, Lilly, Coleman, Isabella, and Liam.

He retired from the City of Dayton where he was a Street Maintenance District Supervisor. He was an avid flea marketer. He was the world's greatest husband, father, and grandfather and best friend to many. He was loved by all that knew him and will be sadly missed.

The family would like to thank special neighbors, Ron and Debbie Grooms for all their care and support.

The family will receive friends, Friday July 1, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home-Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
