Larry Cox
Age 61, of Beavercreek, passed away Friday, September 7, 2007, at Kettering Medical Center.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence V. Cox, Sr.
He is survived by his mother Dorthy Cox, his wife of the past 25 years, Evelyn Sue (Litteral) Cox; three children, Christopher Lawrence & his wife, Brookie Cox, Jessica Elaine Cox and Donna & her husband, Glen Myrick; two grandchildren, Braiden James Hall and Cailen Alyse Cox; one brother, James & his wife, Debi Cox; two sisters, Joyce & her husband, Mike Madigan and Joan Collett; and by many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Larry was a graduate of Northridge High School class of 1964. He served his Country in the U. S. Army and later retired from Delco Products, Kettering Division, as an Electrician. He was an avid classic car enthusiast where he made many lifelong friends. Larry was a musician and an entertainer and played in several groups, most notably Wadsworth County Line and the Daytones. Larry was also a former member of the Greater Dayton Jaycees. Most importantly, Larry was a devoted husband, caring father, loving brother and a wonderful son. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, with Pastor Rick Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
