Lawrence J. Mantia, Sr.

MANTIA, Lawrence J., Sr., age 83, of Dayton, passed away July 16, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ruth E. Mantia; great-granddaughter, Krystal Ellen Rickert; sister, Mary Cox. He is survived by one daughter, Cindy Boggess; three sons, Lawrence (Henri) Mantia Jr., Michael (Doreen) Mantia, and Mitchell (Kim) Mantia; grandchildren, Julie House, Angela Pope, Michael Boggess, Ami Jo Boggess, Cory Mantia, Jami Mantia, Ali Mantia, Ryan Mantia, and Megan Mantia; step-granddaughter, Shania Menefee; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Anna Mae (Kenneth) Barnhouse. He was a business owner for 42 years and served with the United States Navy during World War II. Lawrence enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, and fishing. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the VA Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dayton VA Medical Center.
