Lawrence "Larry" William Gibson, age 49, of Middletown, went home to be with the Lord on May 7, 2019. Larry was born in Middletown, Ohio on April 30, 1970. He was the son of Lawrence and Tracee (Epstein) Gibson.
Larry was a retired truck driver. In his spare time he enjoyed watching all kinds of sports, especially professional football, baseball and NCAA basketball during March Madness. Larry's special time of the year was the holiday season celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas with his loving family. One of his more favorite things to do in life was to spend time with his great-nieces, especially Emma. During the last couple of years Larry took several trips that created special memories with his future wife, Marsha Stamper.
He is survived by his sisters, Rebecca (Ralph) Cecil of Franklin, OH and Julie (Stan) Idzi of Phoenix, MD; step-father, Doug Brate of Middletown, OH; step-sister, Diana (Todd) Campbell of Monroe, OH; step-brother, Steve (Barbara) Hargraves of Dayton, OH; nieces, Sara (Adam) Osterday, Jessica Combs, Kacey (Zachary) Dixon and Victoria Vines; great-nieces, Emma, Myla Mae, Adeline, Liliana and Mavis Joy; great-nephew, Macklin; aunt, Billie (Joe) Meyer; special cousin Michael Mattison, many more family, close friends and his admiring pets, Stevie "the cat" and Spike "the dog."
Along with his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Mildred Gibson, Barbara Jewell and Michael Epstein and step-brother, D.J. Brate.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Centerville Chapel, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm with his nephew Pastor Zachary Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Baptist Church Memorial Garden in Middletown, OH.
