Lawrence E. Drake, Sr.

DRAKE, Lawrence E., Sr., age 63, of Riverside, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2007. He was born July 30, 1943 in Dayton, OH, to the late Lawrence H. and Edna (Clifford) Drake. He retired from the United States Air Force after 23 years of service and spent 9 of those years overseas. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0598. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Wanda "Marie" Drake; two sons, Lawrence (Melissa) E. Drake, Jr. and Michael A. Drake; three grandchildren, Caitlyn Janise Faris, Dorian Kyle Drake, and Kyrsten Lee Drake; one brother, Clifford E. Drake of Florida. Visitation will be held Friday, June 15, 2007 from 10-11 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Wayne Monroe officiating. Burial will follow at the Dayton National Cemetery.
