Age 80, of Tipp City, passed away at his home with his family by his side, Saturday, August 12, 2006.

He was a full-time employee of Lowes Home Improvement in Huber Heights. He retired from A. M. Graphics in Dayton after 32 years of service in 1991. He was a Deacon and member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church of Booneville, KY for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Julia & Herschel Allen, sister, Florence Allen, all of Booneville, KY, and by his son-in-law, David Adkins of Dayton.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of the past 58 years, Rhoda; two children, daughter, Judy Adkins of Tipp City, son, David & Betty Allen of Huber Heights; four granddaughters, Kellie & Thad Mitman of Greenville, Heather Allen (and friend, James Collins) of Huber Heights, Christina Allen of Huber Heights and Kristin Adkins of Cedarville University; eight great grandchildren, Brittney, Brooke & Brandon Bozarth, David & Devin Allen all of Huber Heights, Anna Mitman of Greenville, Ohio, Johnny Warman and Aliegha Allen of Huber Heights. He has one brother, Bill & Loretta Allen of Medway and one sister, Rebecca & Donald Cook of Alexandria, KY., and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Matthew Reed will officiate. Interment will follow at Willow View Cemetery. If friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of Larry to Hospice of Miami County.
