Lavina M. Dempsey
Age 100, of Kettering, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012, at The Hospice of Dayton.
Lavina was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Robert Fulton Dempsey, in 1973; and by two brothers & two sisters.
Lavina is survived by one daughter, Gloria J. (Carl) Whitford; four grandchildren, Douglas (Carol) Whitford, Robert (Beverly) Merritt, Ronald (Sheila) Merritt and Roger (Reeta) Whitford; eight great grandchildren, Laura, Zach, Shannon, Brandon, Miranda, Alex, Lauren & Mitch; two great great grandchildren, Lucas & Danielle; and by one sister, Leona.
The family will be receiving friends from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. (3/21) at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Randy Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
If friends desire, contributions may be made in memory of Lavina to The Hospice of Dayton.
