LaVern Lemp

LaVern Lemp, age 84 of Miamisburg, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025. He was born December 25, 1940 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of the late Otto and Dorothy Lemp. He Graduated from Fairview High School. LaVern had a career as a machine operator for General Motors and Harrison Radiator lasting over 30 years. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. LaVern enjoyed sports of all types. LaVern was a great cook and could often be found watching cooking shows on the television. Spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was precious to him and he would often go to their sporting events. LaVern was a man of great faith, he read the Bible every day and was dedicated to his church, Victory Hill Baptist Church. 

He is preceded in death by his Loving Wife of 56 years, Roseann Lemp; Parents, Dorothy Knose, and Otto Lemp; Brother, Robert Lemp; Sister, Wilma "Sis" Pugh; Brother-In-Law, John Longo; and Son-In-law, David Daugherty.

LaVern is survived by his Daughters, Michelle A. (Don) Matheson, Cynthia M. (Blake) Michaels, Julie F. (Rick) Ballweg, and Angela R. (Louie) Lozano; Son, Anthony L. (Julia) Fahrion; Brothers, Bill Lemp, and Chuck Lemp; Grandchildren, Alicia (Jeremy) Doty, Patrick (Kristine) Daugherty, Megan Michaels, Lauren Michaels, Tony (Kara) Fahrion, Elizabeth (Beau) Goodrich, Richard (Stephanie) Ballweg III, Chelsea Ballweg, Luis Lozano, Gabriella Lozano, and Viviana Lozano; Great-Grandchildren, Charlie, Ariella, Cooper, Teddy, Sully, Leo, Grey, and Owen; and by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Victory Hill Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association. 

Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Centerville (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459).
