Lavelle A. Wachter
October 7, 1931 — September 24, 2012
WACHTER, LaVelle, age 80, of Vandalia, passed away September 24, 2012. She was born in Donnellson, Iowa, to Virginia and Harry Fett.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jack Wachter of Vandalia; her son Mitch Wachter; her daughter, Melody Sumpter and son-in-law Joe Sumpter, Jr. all of Huber Heights; grandsons, Dustin Wachter, Joe Sumpter III, Jackson Sumpter and Joshua Shea; granddaughter, Megan Shea; and several great-grandchildren; LaVelle's sister, Lotus and husband Don Burdette and niece Diana Burdette all of Donnellson, Iowa.
LaVelle graduated from Gem City Business College in Quincy, Illinois in 1950 and was employed by the Quincy, Illinois, TV Station (1950-1954).
She was a wonderful wife and mother and enjoyed oil painting. She was loved by everyone and will be missed so very much.
A private service will be held for the family.
