SIMPSON, Laura Mae, age 78, of Beavercreek, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008. She was born July 29, 1930 in Lynch, KY, the daughter of Joseph H. and Flotilla (Burke) Bussell. She belonged to the Sacramento Military Officers Association where she served as editor and was a member and secretary of the Sacramento Banjo Band. Laura's passion was sewing and she worked for many years out of her home as a professional seamstress in the Sacramento area. She is survived by her husband, retired Lt. Col. Harold G. Simpson; her children, Donald and Rhonda Daumann of Sacramento, CA, Larry and Shaana Daumann of Beavercreek, Debra and Richard Wildenhaus of Dayton, and Gail and Mitchell Miller of Beavercreek; grandchildren, Donnie, Buffy, Donna Lee, Teresa, Melissa, Chris, Nick, Matt, Brian, Sybil, Jason, Dana, Brooke, Cory, Daniel and Faith Anne; great-grandchildren, Brittaney Anne, Cassidy Anne, Natalie, Emma, Luke, and Liam. She was preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Harrison H. Bussell. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to time of service.
