Laura Roberts peacefully departed this life on August 12, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton.

Laura was born on January 4, 1946 in Greeneville, Alabama to Lee Frank and Mary Lee Ray. She moved to Dayton, Ohio as a child where she resided until her death.

Laura was a dedicated employee at General Motors Inland Division for more than 20 years.

Laura was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She knew that her greatest gifts were her family, and she gave God all the praise for these gifts.

She was a member of United Community Brethren Church under the leadership of Pastor Reginald Harvey.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents Lee Frank and Mary Lee Ray, and brother Arthur Ray.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters Tracy, Terri and Tricia Roberts of Dayton, Toni (Gregory) DeBrill of Hilliard, OH, brother Robert (Mirean) Ray of Dayton, sisters Carol Ray and Carla (Damon) Mitchell of Dayton, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 10-11 am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will begin at 11 am. Burial will follow at West Memory Gardens.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Laura's memory.
