Laura Brest

Laura Elizabeth Brest, age 97 of Englewood, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Cypress Pointe Nursing Home. She was born November 17, 1920 in Frenchburg, KY to the late Claude and Clara Benson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Welch and Dick Brest; daughter Patricia Graham and siblings, James Benson, Wayne Benson, Wilbur Benson, George Benson, Edward Benson, Emma Benson and ChristineWilliams.

Laura will be missed by her loving daughter, Helen (Les) Daniel; step children, James Brest, Robert Brest, Stephen Brest, Sherry Hall and Jeanine Wright; grandchildren, Jeff Daniel, Jason Daniel, Toni Lynn Esteves, Mike Graham and James Graham; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, William Benson, Charles Benson and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Laura's family would like to thank the staff at Cypress Pointe for the care they gave her over the years.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, to Hospice of Dayton or to a charity of choice.
