Larry Johnson, age 70, of West Carrollton, made his final journey to the stars on October 4, 2020.
He was born under the sign of Cancer on July 22, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Walker and Hazel (Hobbs) Johnson. Growing up in the Oregon District in Dayton, with his two special friends, Danny and Ronny, who became lifelong friends. He made a career in the construction and woodworking field, building was his passion. Larry was known for his talent of being able to fix anything.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry, Eddie, Dexter, Lowell, and Frank Johnson, his two special nephews, Sean and Scott Johnson.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Teresa (Gigliotti) Johnson; his son, Brian Johnson; his daughter, Kelly (Michael) Johnson; and his two granddaughters, Katie Rose (Chris) Howard, Liz Mary Courtney. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, special friend, Matt, and many other friends.
Larry renewed his interest in all things astronomy, he loved travelling, hosting parties and entertaining in his garage. Most of all he loved being with his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching the Bengals and Buckeyes football games.
Larry will always be remembered for his love of family.
A Gathering will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020 from 2:30 pm until time of Memorial Service at 4:30 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Larry's memory.
