Larry "LG" Giles, was a twin born to Ida Giles on May 8, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio. He departed this life unexpectedly on June 29, 2014. Larry attended Pine Force Academy, then transferred to Nettle Lee Roth High School. He received his GED from Attaberry Job Corps 1972. Larry was employed in hospitality management for 18 years. He was later employed by Plating Technology and was employed there for 11 years.
Larry leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 7 years, Karen Giles; 2 children: Dequan (Teresa) Edwards and Kandi Dowell; 4 grandchildren; loving twin brother, Terry (Cheryl) Giles; loving cousins, of whom he was raised: Vickie Brown, Beverly Perry, Carolyn McKinney, and Timothy McKinney; 7 nieces and nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews, and 37 great, great, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Frances Luton.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Ethan Temple Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4000 Shiloh Springs Road, Clayton, Ohio 45315, visitation will begin at 9:00 am. The family will greet family and friends beginning at 10:00 am. Dr. Joe Grider officiating. Burial Dayton National Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Larry's memory to the American Lung Association. Karen will receive friends and family at the McKinney home.
