FADER SR., Larry David, age 76, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020, at his home in Kettering of pancreatic cancer. He was received by the Lord holding the hand of his loving wife, surrounded by family, and listening to his favorite Marvin Gaye song. Larry was born September 20, 1943, in Kettering, Ohio to Ernest and Evelyn Fader. Larry graduated from Fairmont High School in 1961 and served in the United States Navy in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba during the Vietnam War. He retired from Dayton Reliable Tool in 1999 after 32 years. In his retirement, Larry loved to swim and exercise at Lohrey Recreation Center and try his luck at the local casino. He was an excellent dancer with a love of music, especially Michael Jackson, Elton John, and everything Motown. Larry was a devoted husband and father who always looked out and cared for others, including the neighborhood stray cats. He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Evelyn Fader, and brother Ernest "Jerry" Fader Jr. Survived by his wife of 40 years, Janet M. Fader; sons, Larry D. Fader Jr., Rick Fader (Amy), Jonathan Ross (Erika), and Daniel Ross (Dawn); daughter, Nannette Maltese (Joel); brother, Michael Fader; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held at 12pm Monday, May 25, 2020 at Presidential Banquet Center, 4548 Presidential Way, Kettering.
