Lanny Lee Cooper Sr., age 76, of Kettering, Ohio passed away surrounded by his family January22, 2020. He was born March 14, 1943 in Greenville, Ohio to the late Vernon Cooper and Betty Huffman.
Lanny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He retired from General Motors after 33 years of employment. He enjoyed golfing with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Lanny was preceded in death by his sons Lee Cooper and Scott Williams; grandson, Aaron Williams; sister, Carol Carr; and brother, Donnie Huffman.
Lanny is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathy Cooper; children, Lanette (Jack) Hartsock; Laurissa (Tom) Ferguson; and Brady Williams; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Rachel Thompson, Rebecca White, Melissa (Fred) Barker, and Phoebe Duncan; brothers, Larry (Renna) Huffman, Buddy (Barb) Huffman, and John Swogger.
Family will receive friends on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
