Lance Reed Jones

Lance Reed Jones, age 41, of Kettering, lost his battle with cancer on July 23, 2019.

He was born May 5, 1978 in Dayton, Ohio and was a 1996 graduate of Miamisburg High School. Lance was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a sports fanatic who enjoyed fishing, hunting and baseball. He especially loved coaching, watching and participating with his sons, Caine's and Brice's sports and spending time with his girlfriend, Roxanne.

Lance was preceded in death by his beloved son, Caine, grandparents, Elmer R. Miller, Harold "Ted" Foust, Orville "Tuff" and Nell Jones, and Fred Osteen.

He is survived by his son, Brice; his mother, Marsha (Jamey) Foust; his father, Orville (Ruth) Jones; brothers, Jason, Casey (April), Teddy, Eric (Nikki); sister, Ashley (Jake); grandmothers, Lida Miller, Gloria Foust, Ruth Osteen; his girlfriend, Roxanne Valencia and numerous nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Lance and Caine were a package deal and they are together again in a better place.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Lance's memory.

A Gathering of friends and family will take place from 5:30pm until time of Memorial Service 6:30pm on Friday August 9, 2019 at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Additional time for Gathering will immediately follow the Memorial service at the funeral home.
