Kris A. Martin

Kris Martin, age 51 of Dayton, OH, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021, in Dayton. He was born September 20, 1970 in Carthage, NY to Kim Martin and Sunday Kerwin.

Left to cherish Kris' memory are his children: Amanda Martin "1", Ashley Martin "2", Abigail Martin "3", and Austin Martin "4"; mother, Sunday Kerwin; brother, Kane Martin; grandson, Carter Watson; his childrens' mother, Melissa Sousa; parents-in-law: Bob and Laura Sandrus; his dog, Cassanova, and several other relatives and friends.

Kris was a free spirit who had his own unique perspective. He had a larger-than-life personality, and could make anyone laugh. Kris was an all around good person, stubborn, but generous, and could always be counted on if anyone needed him. Kris spent his career as a truck driver, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He loved country and heavy metal music, with ICP and Metallica listed among his favorites. He was a fan of festivals, dogs, and video games; particularly those in which he was able to race. Most of all, Kris enjoyed spending time with his family. Ever the consummate trucker, Kris left us on 10-4. We'll take the miles from here, DRIVA.

In addition to his parents, Kris was preceded in death by his grandparents: Orbin and Polly Martin.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 11, 2021 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek) where a funeral service celebrating Kris' life will follow at 6:00 p.m.
