Sgt. Krandal "Dale" Bowen, age 69, of Dayton, OH passed away Sunday September 29, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton.

He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Sandi Bowen; children, Cathryn Amspaugh and children, Zachary and Alexandra of Maryville, TN, James O'Neill and daughter, Jessica Allen and her son, Jacob of Englewood, OH, Cynthia (Brent) Hasseman and children, Bennett, Cyara, Alexia, Brent, and Marissa of Springboro, OH, and Lisa (Michael) Rowland and son, Jonathan of Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Ronald Bowen of Colorado Springs, CO, Donald (Megan) Bowen of Williamson, GA, and Robert (Debbie) Bowen of Cincinnati, OH; sister, Barbara (Bill) Massie of Cincinnati, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dale is a US Army veteran who proudly served in Vietnam where he earned multiple medals, most notably the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was a faithful member of the Victory Christian Church and founder of the Annual VCC Classic Car Show since 2008. He was also a charter member of the Miami Valley Auto Club of Dayton.

Visitation is Thursday October 3, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.

Funeral service is Friday October 4, 2013 at 9am at the Victory Christian Church, 2275 S. Patterson Blvd, Kettering, OH 45409.

Pastor Gary Trenum is officiating the service.

Interment is in Dayton National Cemetery with full military honors.
