Koty O'Brien Banks entered this world on May 5, 2019 fulfilling his mission to bring forth complete job, happiness, peace and mostly everlasting love. Such a beautiful addition to the family of Dakota Williams and Raymond Banks, as well as the Arnold, Bennet, Armstrong, Horton, Williams, Sanders, and Carter families, and the Dayton Children's Hospital family. Koty was well loved and admired far and wide. Koty, aka KoBear, was born in Dayton, Ohio at Southview Hospital.
He was a very happy toddler despite having a tracheotomy and being dependent on 24 hour oxygen. The only time he would fuss is when he was ready to eat. One of his favorite foods was quesadillas and pbjs. As he progressed in his therapy sessions, he didn't let his trach stop him from being ready to start kindergarten soon. Indeed he was just a toddler, but he had a spirit of an old soul. His eyes could cut through the room as well as light up a room with love.
Koty got a tremendous amount of love from his brothers, who also took pride in caring for him. Though we hoped for much more time with our love, Koty, we give praise to God for the very presence of Koty and we thank Him for sharing this beautiful soul to be entrusted to our family. Our hearts will always cherish his memories with love.
He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Raymond Banks; mother, Dakota Banks; big brothers: Da'Ray and Raymond Banks; grandparents: Herman Arnold, Terri Armstrong, Raymond O., Monica Banks, Sonny Banks, Rose Banks and Kathleen and Mick Gilbert; bonus grandmother aka GG Monica Harvey; bonus dad, David Carter; bonus siblings: Olivia and D'Mauree Carter; god mother, Brandy Mirani; uncles: Herman Arnold, Anthony Arnold, Arell Arnold, Kameron Banks, Jah Horton and Christian Armstrong; aunts: Morgan Bennett, Alessa Arnold, Zyaire Arnold, Alexis Banks, and Ayonna Banks; cousins: Rain P, Xavier H, Zion H, Legend H, and Laila Kai; as well as many other loving relatives.
Awaiting his arrival in Heaven are his great grandfather, Pastor Marvin Arnold; aunt, Akaila Dawson; and cousin, Leon Arnold, and uncle, Terrence Harper.
