Koneta Grierson

GRIERSON, Koneta L., age 90, of Huber Heights, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2006. She was born February 15, 1915 in Dayton, OH, the daughter of Fredrick H. and Leola (Shepherd) Mayer. Past Matron and 50 year member of the Dayton Victory Chapter #594 O.E.S., former drill director where she is still remembered as "Sarge", and past president of REMEA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Grierson; both parents; one son, Kenneth Grierson; two brothers. She is survived by two sons, Gerald (Norma) Grierson of Dayton, Phillip (Gail) Grierson of Florida; daughter-in-law, Marcia Grierson of California; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 9, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd.) with visitation 1 hour prior to time of service. Eastern Star services will be held at 10:45 A.M. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
