Kiser C. McKinney, age 78, of Fairborn, OH, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 28, 2013 after many years of struggling with lung disease.
He was born September 10, 1935 in Omer, Kentucky to the late Corbett and Sarah Ellen McKinney. Kiser graduated from Ezel High School in 1952 and then attended Mayo State Vocational Training School in 1953. He enlisted in the Air Force and proudly served his country for 21 years. After retiring from the Air Force, he had a home improvement business in the Dayton area for 15 years and then worked for Sears in Rapid City, SD for 9 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Cora Cole McKinney; daughters, Gina Cooper, Mary (Scott) Myers, Pam (Larin) Adams; son, Mark (Theresa) McKinney; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; twin brother, Kyle B. McKinney and his wife Monique McKinney; brother-in-law, Bill Reasor; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Orville & Opal Cole, Evelyn Crouch, Henry & Ann Barker, Cecil & Valerie Cole, Virgil & Phyllis Cole, Johnny & Connie Havens, Ronnie & Honna Cole; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kay McKinney, and sister, Anita Ruby Reasor.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be at Rona Community Church on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service will also be held at Rona Community Church on October 2, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. officiated by Pastor Jim Smith and Reverend Bonnie Preston Harris with burial immediately following at the Dayton National Cemetery.
