Kirt Allen Rue, age 68, of Trotwood, passed away on October 3, 2023. He was born on May 27, 1955 to the late Elmer Rue and Mary Studebaker.
Kirt was a simple man, but he was always caring and giving. His laugh was contagious and everyone recognized. He was a mechanic and enjoyed tinkering with lawnmowers or other small engines. He was a wonderful father and loved his children and grandchildren. His kindness and laughter will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Kirt was preceded in death by his sons: Brian Rue and Nathan Rue; daughter, Jennifer Rue; his siblings: Frank Carmack, Veta Musgrave, Carl Rue, and Gloria Buck
He is survived by his children: Jason (Melissa) Rue and Crystal (James) Carson and Barbie Hatton; grandchildren: Dylan Rue, Jason Rue Jr., Maegan Carson, Lacey Larick, Anthony Larick Jr., Caitlynne Rue, and Keith Rue; greatson: Jason Rue III; his sister, Cathy (John) Mount; his girlfriend, Treasea Neal and son, Trenton and grandson, Jacob; and many extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road in Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00pm. Following the service, Kirt will be laid to rest at Trissel Cemetery.
