Kimberly Marie Hecker
January 12, 1961 — June 26, 2018
Kimberly "Kim" Marie Hecker (née Schockman) peacefully passed away on June 26th, 2018 at Ohio's Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties.
Kim had a passion for nursing, and graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1989 where she went to work as a home-health nurse, and later worked as a school nurse where she primarily cared for disabled children in the district. Kim loved volunteering and served on the Red Cross's disaster response team as a nurse on several occasions, traveling to areas such as Wisconsin and Florida when help was needed. Kim's hobbies included reading, cooking, and dogs.
Kim is predeceased by her father, John A. Schockman. Kim is survived by her son Aaron and his wife Emily, daughter Amanda and her husband Jacob, and son Evan, whom she shared with her former spouse, John C. Hecker, and granddaughter Lily. Kim is also survived by her mother Judi, and her siblings Mark, Gregg, and Jodi, along with her dog (Drew).
At Kim's request, no services will be held. Please respect the family's privacy at this time of grief. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Red Cross in Kim's honor.
