Kimberly Ann Shaw

Kimberly Ann Shaw, 64 years of age, was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 15, 1959. She transitioned to eternal life on July 11, 2024.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Marie Shaw; brother, Michael Edwards; niece, Stacy Patterson; uncles, Thomas (Amanda) Edwards, David (Virginia) Edwards; brother-in-law, Lee Barnes; and life-long friend, Mildred Veal.

She attended Stivers Patterson Co-Op and Carousel Beauty College. Kimberly joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church as a young adult and never moved her membership. She was employed at Stillwater Health Center for 11 years, as a Habilitation Provider. Kimberly's hobbies included cooking, growing beautiful flowers & vegetables in the garden, making friends with neighbors as she rode in her remote chair, and going to the casino where she'd win door prizes and give them to family & friends. Most of all, she loved time spent with family, especially all the grandchildren.

Kimberly leaves to celebrate her life, 5 children: Johnny Shaw, Michael Shaw, Erthalyn (Domonic) Shaw, Derrick Harris Jr., Da'Yuan (Ashley) Harris; 6 grandchildren: My'Kaya Shaw, Jayceon Shaw, Michael Shaw Jr., Zion Guy, Kim'Marie Hurt, Amariah Hurt; sisters: Erthale Barnes, Vicki (Jessee) Goolsby of Elberton, GA; nieces: Dawn (David) Huszar of Locust Grove, GA, Tonja Allen of Elberton, GA; nephew, Tommy (Sabrina) Montgomery; lifelong friend, Vickie Chinn; and numerous great-nephews & great-nieces, cousins, family and friends.

For Kimberly's Home Going Services, family and friends are welcome to gather from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Dayton, Ohio, 45424. A Funeral service will begin at 3:00pm officiated by Pastor Brenda Moore.
