Kevin Leroy Jenkins Jr.

Kevin Leroy Jenkins, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 in Martinsville, Ohio.
Born on July 25, 2012, his life was cut short by a house fire which also claimed his great-grandmother Linda (Nace)Bartlett.
He is preceded in death by great-grandpa Kenneth Arrington, great-grandma Debbie Smith, and Aunt Morgan Knab. Kevin is survived by parents Holly Purdin and Kevin Jenkins, Sr.; siblings Audrianna, Rajon, Easton, Nova, and Jakayla; grandparents Victor Purdin, Alethea (Matt) Knab, Crystal Algee, and Kent Jenkins, Sr.; great grandparents Robert (Bonnie) Grimes, Cindy (Steve) Garrison, and Charlie (Christie) Purdin; bonus parents Tawney Oliver, Kevin Ellis, and Kai Johnson.
Kevin leaves behind an abundance of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Born in Beavercreek and raised in Xenia, Kevin was a bright, versatile young man. His joyful energy radiated in any room he entered, keeping everyone entertained. He enjoyed singing in the car with his mom and sister, and constantly kept up with jokes and humor to anyone who was around. He loved playing football for Xenia Weebucs, and basketball for Xenia Elite. He enjoyed helping his Papaw Victor as a "jack of all trades"- he rotated car tires, helped load wood, and even operated tools such as a compound miter chop saw. He was courageous, adventurous, and had a true love and curiosity for life. He loved the color red, and blue for Xenia Bucs, but was also confident enough to love pink. He loved the ocean which he visited many times with his parents and Mamaw/Papaw Knab, he loved his family, and he loved all of his family pets.
He was adored by his peers at Warner Middle School, his coaches, and teachers.
He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
Kevin's final gift was the gift of life for organ donation recipients.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm.
Funeral will be on December 19 at 11am. Both services will be held at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Xenia.
