Kevin L. Hoover

Kevin Louis Hoover, age 57 of Kettering, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born March 28, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Harold and Jemella (Gaddini) Hoover.

Kevin is survived by his husband of 26 years, Jonathan Thurmond and his dear friend Mary Ann Linkhart as well as his fur-friends, Cher, Pepper and Willow and numerous friends.

Kevin was a 1980 graduate of Patterson Cooperative High School in Dayton excelling in graphic arts. He started his career at Frigidaire as a co-op student which led to a long-time employment opportunity. Kevin was an assembler for General Motors for 15 years before retirement. He then obtained his Associates Degree in Computer Science at National College, Kettering and pursued a career at CBCS as an IT specialist in their call center. Kevin participated in Dayton Gay Bowling League and occasionally served as a SICSA volunteer. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and NASCAR.

Family will receive guests from 10:00 am -12:00 noon, Saturday. April 13, 2019 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering. Guest will be invited to share a fond memory of Kevin at 12:00 pm before procession to Woodland Cemetery for burial.
