Katherine C. Lemoyne, age 97, passed away on May 30, 2012. She is survived by her children Nicole (Nikki) Anne LeMoyne and Noel Joseph LeMoyne, three Granddaughters, Sarah LeMoyne, Lee Anne (nee) LeMoyne Julian, and Amy LeMoyne, and two Great-Granddaughters, Erica LeMoyne and Jessica Julian.Her beloved husband Joseph, to whom she was married for 66 years, predeceased her in 2003. Katherine and Joe were married on November 27, 1937. She had a special relationship with Silver, her cat, who also predeceased her. She is also survived by Pamela Ward, who was Katherine's caregiver for the last few years and with whom Katherine enjoyed a close and special relationship, and Georgianna Parisi, who is the daughter of Katherine's best friend, and who also was very important to Katherine during her final years.

Katherine resided on Kensington Street in Middletown for nearly 50 years in a modern contemporary home which she helped design. The home was featured in a number of newspaper articles.

Katherine was born February 7, 1915 as Katherine Cooper, in Dayton. She graduated from Stivers High School in 1932 and Miami Jacobs College in 1933.

Katherine was the President of the Middletown Fine Arts Center for 10 years and helped to coordinate art shows at the center. Katherine was very interested in contemporary art. She was also the President for the Middletown Chapter of the American Cancer Society in 1966.

Services will be private. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel.
