Born in Springfield, IL. on 10/16/1955 to Wolcott Norbert Lyon, Jr., and Marjorie Ann Ingham Lyon.
He is survived by his loving partner of 17 years Beverly Dunnington, her family, brother Keith G Lyon of Haymarket, VA., sister Meredith K. Lyon of Springfield, IL., and niece Sara Keating of Springfield, IL.
He attended Hay-Edwards Elementary School, US Grant Jr. High School, and graduated from Springfield High School in 1973. He attended Lincoln Land Community College and graduated from the University of Dayton.
He started his Masonic career in Springfield as a member of DeMolay, following in his father's footsteps who was a 33rd degree Mason. He was an active member of many Masonic organizations and also a Shriner.
He Started programming for First National Bank in Springfield after taking his first programming class at Lincoln Land, which led to a career in programming. He spent several years programming ATM machines and installing them around the world before settling in Dayton working on the USAF logistics command software. He was currently working at Wright Patterson as a subcontractor in the IT field.
He had been an avid bicyclist until he was rear ended by a drunk driver in 1999 that took 9 months to recover and return to work.
He enjoyed playing with his 4 rescued cats and looking for treasures at estate and garage sales with Beverly. He collected clowns and has a collection of over 400.
He was a wonderful, loving, giving man and will be missed so much by his friends and family.
