Kent D. Boze

Kent D. Boze, age 54 of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born September 9, 1964 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Charles and Marjorie (Pearson) Boze.

In addition to his parents, Kent was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Boze.

He is survived by his children, Melissa (Jared) Edwards, Kent Niederberger, Mabry, Kylin and Kason Boze; grandchildren, Connor, Kenley and Roman; a brother, Michael (Sandy Davis) Boze; sister-in-law, Sandy Boze; the mother of his youngest children, Amanda Konicki and nieces and nephews, Madisyn, Katie, Matt and Kyle as well as many friends and extended family.

Kent was a 1982 graduate of Miami East High School and then honorably served for the U.S. Coast Guard from 1982-1988 as a Petty Officer 3rd Class. Kent was employed with many different companies over the years and most recently as a retail manager at Kmart and Five Below. Kent was an avid sports fan, especially of the Buckeyes, Reds and Bengals. He was always athletic and enjoyed participating in baseball and then softball later in life. Kent had also tried his hand as an amateur stand-up comedian, but his proudest accomplishment was his children. He will be remembered as a good man with a big heart and a great sense of humor.

A memorial service will begin at 5:30 pm Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering. Family will continue to receive guests until 8:00 pm also on Tuesday at the funeral home.
