Kenneth M. "Ken" Seifert, age 88, of Beavercreek, passed away on November 12, 2022, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Britt, Iowa, on November 19, 1933.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Seifert; his beloved wife of over 37 years, Rose Seifert; and his grandson, Michael J. Van Meter.
Ken is survived by his loving children, Janet (John) Kline, Michael Seifert, Diana (Donald) Anderson and Matthew (Penny) Seifert; grandchildren, Nicole, Maria, Kyle, Virginia, Benjamin and Logan; many great grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
He served his country proudly by serving and retiring from the Air Force, where he served during the Korean War, Vietnam War and Desert Storm. Upon his retirement, he had achieved the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed ballroom dancing, going to the Lathrem Senior Center in Kettering, watching sports, having his morning coffee with Penny (his only daughter-in-law) and making sure he had his Chapstick.
Visitation for Ken will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 10:00am - 11:00am at Newcomer Funeral home in Beavercreek. The memorial service will follow at 11:00 am. A graveside service will begin at 1:00pm at Dayton National Cemetery, where Ken will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Tower 2 Towers or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
