Kenneth Schwab

SCHWAB, Kenneth Richard (Dick), age 81, was called from labor to rest when he passed on Sunday July 18, 2010.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Donna; son, Michael Schwab; sister, Janice (Glen) Edwards; very special person, Tiffany Shaw and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dick was the son of George and Venus (Moore) Schwab and was born in Dayton, OH, on Nov. 11, 1928. He was a 60 year member of Millenium Lodge 779 (formerly Miami Valley 660) F&AM as well as a member of The Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, the Antioch Shrine and the Clark County Springfield Shrine Club.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran in WWII and was a member of VFW Post 1031 in Springfield, OH, and the American Legion Post 200 in Huber Heights, OH. After his tour of Navy duty, he worked for the Ohio Bell Telephone Co. for 35 years in both craft and management, and at that time joined the Telephone Pioneers of America Group, of which they performed charitable work all over America.

Funeral services will be held Thursday July, 22 at 10:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. 45432. Family will receive friends on Wednesday July 21 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children Burn Care, in his memory.
