Kenneth Ray Stepp, age 64, of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012.
He was born July 22, 1948 in Dayton, to the late Sherlie & Ruth (Pinion) Stepp.
Kenny was preceded in death by his niece, Gale Ann Strausbaugh.
He graduated from Fairmont West High School in 1967. Kenny served in the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, CA. He retired from GM after 30 years at the Moraine Engine Plant. He loved to water ski and cheer for Ohio State and the Bengals.
Kenny is survived by his sister, Betty L. (Stepp) Lawson, of Centerville, OH; brother, Michael D. Stepp, of Plano, TX; uncle & aunt, Leon & Wilma Pinion; aunt, Donna Pinion; several cousins including special cousin, Deborah Konerner; 2 nieces; 3 nephews; 2 grandnieces; 1 grandnephew; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, December 3, 2012 from 12:30pm-1:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 1:30pm. Burial will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery.
Kenny was a member of the American Legion Post 598 (5700 Kentshire Dr, Kettering, OH 45440), where a reception will be held after the burial.
